About Screen Resolution

Every electronic screen has a screen resolution measurement in pixels. The size of the measurement all depends on screen size, display card and user setting. I am not going to get into all the scientific jargon about screen resolution. However, suffice to say the display setting effects the size of everything on your screen.

Web Standard Screen Resolution

The web standard for screen resolution is really based on the resolution that is currently the most poplar with new PC's coming off the market; with usually a year lag time. Currently the web standard screen resolution is 1024 x 768.

TechniPixel designs our web sites at 960 pixels wide so that we fit inside the web standard of 1024 x 768.

Changing Your Screen Resolution

The tutorial is for Windows Vista and Windows 7. WindowsXP opens the Display Setting after clicking Properties.
